Aims & Scope

Muthanna Medical Journal (MMJ) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access medical journal published quarterly by Al-Muthanna College of Medicine, Al-Muthanna University, Iraq. The journal provides a trusted academic platform for disseminating high-quality research, evidence-based clinical practice, and innovations in biomedical science and public health relevant to regional and global audiences.

The journal’s primary mission is to advance medical knowledge and healthcare delivery through the publication of rigorously reviewed original research, systematic reviews, and clinical reports that contribute to improved understanding, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of human disease. MMJ encourages interdisciplinary collaboration between clinicians, researchers, educators, and policy-makers to support innovation and sustainable health systems.

Scope of the Journal

The scope of MMJ encompasses, but is not limited to, the following disciplines:
